A rare heritage variety reintroduced from Kings own crop. Very hardy, producing a largish, central, cauliflower-like white head each spring, surrounded by up  to 15 smaller white multi-heads. Tastes slightly stronger in flavour than cauliflower, more like a cross between cauliflower and broccoli. Grows approximately 1 meter high and will last for up to 3 years before plants lose vigour.
Unlike most other types of broccoli, this variety, as the name suggests is a perennial.
